Assistant Professor
Applicants should be engaged in theoretical research on condensed matter, adopting broad mathematical analysis. The successful candidate is expected to advance theoretical material design, theoretical methods exploring unknown phenomena, as well as computational methods for AI-driven materials informatics and AI transformation of research. The candidate should actively collaborate with the theory group staff members. Prior experience is not required; candidates from any foundational background with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate is expected to conduct the following educational duties:
- Experimental training on material science for undergraduates and graduate students of Department of Science. Some of classes may be taught in English.
- Support of research supervision for master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations.
- English fluency sufficient to teach and guide international students is required.
Possible undergraduate courses to be taught include: Practical Statistical Physics
Possible graduate courses to be taught include: Theoretical Study on Advanced Material Science as a Course Instructor

Annual salary: 5 million yen - 6 million yen
Wages description: Based on the Salary Regulations for Staff of Public University Corporation Hyogo.
Working hours: 08:45-17:30
Break time: 12:00-13:00
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and end-of-year holidays (December 29th to January 3rd). Annual paid leave: special paid leave, etc.
Overtime and other explanations: Based on discretionary work system for professional work, working hours are deemed to be 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
