Essential Job Duties:
The Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics at North Carolina State University is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor with a research and teaching focus in one or more of the following areas: agribusiness, production, marketing, commodity markets and/or agricultural policy.
This position is a tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment, with responsibilities divided between research (40%) and teaching (60%). As a new Assistant Professor, you will play a key role in building the newly established Master's in Agribusiness Management program and contributing to the rapidly growing undergraduate program in Agricultural Business Management. You will teach three courses annually at either the graduate or undergraduate level.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establishing and maintaining a successful research agenda that produces publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals
- Serving as an advisor to PhD students and on other graduate student committees as requested
- Serving on departmental, college, and university committees and engaging in professional governance and service
- Collaborating with existing faculty in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.

- PhD degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a successful research agenda that produces publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective classroom instructor.

- Valid NC driver's license or the ability to obtain within 60 days of start.
