Salary: Assistant Professor: £70,718 - £80,148 per annum; Associate Professor: Minimum starting salary of £82,969 per annum

About the role: Do you want to change the world for the better through research and education? At the Dyson School of Design Engineering, our motto is "from making better things to making things better". We are seeking to appoint staff at Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level to conduct high-impact research and deliver outstanding teaching in Cyber-Physical Systems.
What you would be doing:
- Research: Develop and lead your own research program, publish in high-impact journals, pursue external funding, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Teaching: Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervise projects, and develop new teaching materials.
- Administration: Contribute to the School's running, attend meetings, support student recruitment, and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
What we are looking for: We seek candidates with expertise in areas such as design and operation of Cyber-Physical Systems, human aspects, data-driven learning, digital twinning, sensing, communication, and actuation, with applications in healthcare, manufacturing, energy, sustainability, space, etc. Candidates should have a track record in research combining design and engineering thinking, and be able to contribute to teaching in physical computing, cyber-physical systems, machine learning, sensing, and IoT. A flair for entrepreneurship and innovation is expected.
