Job Duties
The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a Tenure Track faculty position with interest and expertise in medical surgical nursing. Faculty responsibilities include: planning, teaching, and evaluating theory and clinical courses that may include classroom/didactic, laboratory, clinical instruction, and online teaching. The position may also involve the direct supervision of students in clinical settings.
Minimum Education/Experience
Tenure Track positions require a PhD in nursing or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Two years of clinical nursing experience are required.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
A valid, non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred. Teaching experience and a national specialty certification is preferred.
Special Instructions to Applicant
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. At the time of employment, two to three original letters of reference, official transcripts, a criminal background check, and proper documentation of identity and employability are required.
