The Department of International Affairs (IA) at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2026. The position is a 47.5% Research, 47.5% Teaching, and 5% Service appointment.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. degree in Political Science or a related discipline by August 1, 2026. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification: We seek a scholar who is trained in the concepts, methods, and approaches used in the study of international relations. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Successful applicants will have a demonstrated ability to produce high quality research, have strong methodological skills (including quantitative and/or qualitative methods), and show promise of attracting external funding.
