Assistant Professor (Biochemistry)
The Department of Chemistry at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a probationary appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with The University of Winnipeg Faculty Association Collective Agreement (2020-2027). Subject to budgetary approval, the date of appointment is anticipated to be July 1, 2026.
Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a related discipline with demonstrated connections to biochemistry research. The successful candidate will have a strong research record, a commitment to excellent and innovative undergraduate teaching and mentorship, with expertise to teach undergraduate Biochemistry courses, and interest or experience in university service and governance. Applicants with postdoctoral or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants must demonstrate potential to develop an externally-funded research program that will complement the Department's existing research expertise.
