Assistant Professor

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill seeks a new tenure-track Assistant Professor to join its Division of Rhinology, Allergy & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, which provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for complex sinus, allergy, smell, and skull base disorders. The faculty member will care for patients with chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, allergies, smell loss, and skull base tumors within a high volume, multidisciplinary program. They will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with neurosurgery, allergy-immunology, neuroradiology, and other specialties to manage complex inflammatory and neoplastic disease.

Responsibilities include providing tertiary level surgical care, participating in interdisciplinary conferences, and teaching residents and medical students. The role also involves contributing to UNC's academic mission through research, clinical trials, and ongoing scholarly activity. The successful candidate should have an interest in contributing to a strong clinical program in Otolaryngology with a special expertise in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and have demonstrated the potential for teaching, patient care and clinical research.
