Assistant Professor (Chemistry)

All applicants must meet the general conditions stipulated by the Labour Act ("Narodne novine" – the official gazette of the Republic of Croatia No 93/14, 151/22 and 64/23) and criteria regulated by Article 39, paragraphs 1 and 3 of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act ("Narodne Novine" - the official gazette of the Republic of Croatia, No 119/22), Article 123, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 50, paragraph 1 of the Statute of the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek) Article 4. paragraphs 2. and 3. of the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria (Official Gazette No. 42/26) and the special conditions prescribed by article 9, paragraph 1, and article 36 of the Regulations on the implementation of the selection/re-selection process for scientific-educational, artistic-educational, educational, associate, and professional positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.

Applicants must submit their application with the mandatory attached documentation according to Form No. 1 – Application for public vacancy announcement for the selection for the scientific-teaching employment position of an assistant professor published on the Faculty's website http://www.ptfos.unios.hr/index.php.

Applicants who are citizens of other countries must submit proof of their knowledge of the Croatian language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).

Persons of both sexes may apply for the vacancy.

Candidates who, based on special regulations – the Act on the Rights of Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (NN – the official gazette of the republic of Croatia No 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), and Article 48f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20) invoke the right to employment preference, are required to claim this right in their application for the public vacancy announcement and submit all evidence required by special regulations to exercise this right. These candidates have employment preference over other applicants, but only under equal conditions.

For candidates who, in their application for the competition, invoke the right of priority in employment according to the Law on Croatian Veterans from the Homeland War and their family members (Official Gazette No 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) and the Law on Civil Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No 84/21), the link to the Ministry of Croatian Veterans' website, where the required evidence for exercising the right of priority in employment is listed, is https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.

Candidates who invoke the right of priority in employment following Article 9 of the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No 57/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.

Only persons who submit a timely and complete application and meet the formal conditions of the public announcement will be considered applicants for the vacancy. A complete application is one that contains all the information and attachments specified in this public vacancy announcement and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

All the applicants will be notified about the results of the selection no later than fifteen (15) days after it is completed. The Faculty of Food Technology holds the right to inform the candidates for the vacancy about the results via email.

By their application, applicants grant their consent for collection and processing of their information contained in the application documents, according to personal data protection regulations, specifically Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

Applicants must also submit a Consent Form published on the Faculty's website http://www.ptfos.unios.hr/index.php.

If an application does not contain a filled-in and signed Consent Form, the application will be considered incomplete and it will be rejected.
