Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a Movement Disorders Neurologist. The rank of appointment (Assistant/Associate) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.

The successful candidate will join the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation as a Parkinson’s neurologist. Primary focus will be clinical outpatient and Movement Disorders research development with academic efforts in clinical teaching of residents and medical students.

Essential Functions

Provide expert clinical care in movement disorders.
Document findings, plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards.
Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care.
Maintain records and statistics in accordance with department policies.
Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
Participate in departmental collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center.
Participate in department's continuous quality improvement efforts.
Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
Provide education to other health care professionals.
Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision.
Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

MD or DO with Board eligibility or Board certification
Active or eligible for a State of Ohio Medical License
Completion of a 4-year Neurology residency/training program
Completion of 2-year Movement Disorders fellowship/training program
