General Description
Work in collaboration with the Divisional leadership to advance the clinical and operational missions of the infectious diseases ambulatory and inpatient program, including (but not limited to) the sustained delivery of high-quality patient care and attraction and retention of highly talented hospitalists.
- Provide infectious diseases consultation when requested on adult patients in an inpatient setting at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC). Weekend call is anticipated, but nighttime in-hospital call is not required.
- Deliver infectious disease care, including outpatient antimicrobial therapy (OPAT), to ambulatory patients in clinics at JHBMC.
- Provide care to persons with acquired (non-HIV) immunodeficiency conditions at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
- Teach Johns Hopkins University Internal Medicine Residents and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine medical students on the medical wards.
- Supervise infectious diseases first-year fellows during inpatient rotation at JHBMC and in the ambulatory clinic at the Bayview Medical Office
The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the [DIVISIONAL/DEPARTMENTAL] faculty compensation program or pay from participation in [DEPARTMENTAL/DIVISIONAL] incentive compensation programs. Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree required
- Fellowship/Board Certification in Infectious Diseases required
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, nationalities, genders, ages, etc.
- Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations while producing results.
