Position Summary: Outstanding candidates in clinical psychology are invited to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level that will begin in August 2026. This position is expected to contribute to the department's anticipated Clinical Psychology PhD program. Areas of specialty are open, but there is a strong preference for candidates with a thorough background in empirically supported assessment and treatment.
Candidates should be able to teach courses within the core areas of the Clinical Psychology curriculum. The Department of Psychology fosters an excellent research and mentoring environment for faculty.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field awarded by 8/1/2026 from an APA- or PCSAS-accredited program.
- Strong record of innovative, methodologically rigorous research.
- Clear potential for obtaining extramural funding.
- Ability to be an effective teacher at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to work effectively with and be sensitive to the educational needs of students.
- All areas of specialization within clinical psychology will be considered.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates who are licensed or license-eligible in Texas.
- Interests and/or experience in community-engaged research.
