DFCM is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical services at University Health Services. In addition, they will have responsibilities at The Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency program including teaching principles of osteopathic manipulative medicine, supervising and teaching osteopathic and allopathic residents osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) within the Family Medicine Center (FMC), and providing care and OMT for patients whose home is the FMC.
This position will be supervised by the Director of University Health Services and the DFMC Medical Director.
Essential Functions
Clinical Care – University Health Services
- Provide primary and urgent care along with women’s health care.
- Participate in on-call prorated based on FTE.
Clinical Care - FMC
- Providing direct patient care with a focus on OMT in a family medicine outpatient setting.
- Re-establish and maintain an OMT referral clinic within the DFMC, serving patients across the lifespan for musculoskeletal and somatic dysfunction concerns.
- Attend weekly practice meeting for the DFMC.
Teaching
- Contribute to a positive learning environment for learners.
- Provide education and serve as a resource for all healthcare workers in area of clinical expertise.
- Providing hands-on OMT instruction in both didactic and clinical settings.
- Mentor osteopathic and allopathic residents in the principles and techniques of osteopathic medicine.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the residency’s OMT curriculum, including workshops, lectures, patient care teaching, and longitudinal integration of OMT principles.
- Work one-on-one with medical students and/or family medicine residents to teach and model ambulatory primary care.
Scholarship, Innovation and Leadership
- All core faculty are expected to contribute to scholarship, including any of the following: curriculum development; performance improvement; research; regional and national presentations; publications; and peer review.

Minimum Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) in related field.
- Unrestricted Ohio Medical license and DEA license prior to the start date.
- Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine Residency Program.
