The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse consists of six academic departments and offers various majors and minors, including Economics. The CBA is accredited by AACSB International and maintains active collaborations and an Assurance of Learning Program.

Job Duties:

• Teach undergraduate courses in Economics, including Principles of Microeconomics and two of the following: Data Analysis for Business Applications, Women in the U.S. Economy, Intermediate Microeconomics, Health Economics, Environmental and Ecological Economics, Labor Economics, or Public Economics.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the undergraduate economics curriculum.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring to undergraduate students.
• Supervise undergraduate student research or honors projects.
• Publish scholarly research in peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Present research findings at conferences.
• Participate in departmental efforts to assess student learning outcomes.
• Engage in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.

The Department of Economics invites applications for one or two full-time, tenure-track positions beginning August 31, 2026. Required qualifications include a demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed journals, ability or interest in teaching data analysis for business, ability or interest in teaching labor, public, health, or environmental economics, and clear communication skills. The teaching load is 3-3 with class sizes of 30-35 students.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Ability or interest in teaching data analysis for business.
• Ability or interest in teaching labor, public, health, or environmental economics.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• PhD in economics or related field.
