Department Information
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is dedicated to preparing individuals for successful careers, supporting faculty development, advancing research, and providing service. It offers accredited Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a Master of Science degree, and a Ph.D. program.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Chair, the four available Assistant Professor positions require expertise in teaching, research, and service in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Duties include developing and teaching courses, advising students, conducting research, securing grants, and serving on committees. Positions are tenure-track, academic (10 months), with competitive salaries.
Required Qualifications
- Earned terminal degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related field by August 1, 2026.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English communication.
- Proven ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Willingness to engage with student success initiatives and best practices in instruction.
- Commitment to research and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Research and teaching experience in relevant areas.
- Evidence of research excellence and grant activities.
- Relevant industrial or post-doctoral experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- ABILITIES: Engaging customer service, support for constituencies, proficiency with computers.
- KNOWLEDGE: Adhere to University policies.
- SKILLS: Effective communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
