Cracow University of Technology ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (F/M) IN THE GROUP OF RESEARCH AND TEACHING STAFF IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (E-2) AT THE FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Proportion of work time: full-time

Type of employment contract: fixed term of 33 months
Represented scientific discipline: automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies
Organizational unit: Department of Electrical Engineering (E-2), Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering

1. Essential requirements
- Having at least a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in a discipline corresponding to the new classification of automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies, completed studies in electrical engineering or a related field (automation, electronics, telecommunications)
- Documented knowledge of a foreign language of English
- Possession of pedagogical training or completion of this training within the first year of employment
- Documented knowledge of the Polish language for foreigners
- Significant scientific achievements
- Significant professional achievements or professional practice in the case of disciplines in the field of engineering and technical sciences
- Representation of the discipline: automation, electronics, electrical engineering, and space technologies - participation of at least 75%.
- Significant participation in the implementation of projects acquired through international or national competitions.
- Obtaining a total of at least 150% of the points required in the evaluation for this position for research activities.
- Obtaining a total of at least 150% of the points required in the evaluation for this position for teaching activities.
- it is advisable to provide the qualifications held (e.g. qualification certificate for operation in Group I, qualifications of an SEP appraiser, etc.).
2. Additional requirements
- research and development experience in the field of electrical engineering,
- proven competence in using specialized software and tools used in electrical engineering
3. Scope of tasks performed/job description (responsibilities and entitlements)
Duties in the field of education and upbringing of students include in particular:
- implementation of the teaching load, according to the principles specified in the Work Regulations of the Cracow University of Technology, i.e. in the amount of: 240 hours per academic year
- conducting consultations with students
- developing teaching materials for classes; preparing laboratory stations, conducting examinations and tests
- supervision of diploma and doctoral students
Responsibilities related to conducting scientific activities include in particular:
- disseminating the results of scientific research, in particular through publishing scientific articles and active participation in scientific conferences, conducting or participating in scientific seminars
- participation in the commercialization of research results
- preparing applications for financing scientific, research and development works
- improving one's professional qualifications in order to obtain further academic degrees and titles
4. Description of working conditions, we offer, among other things
- remuneration for work:
- fixed components of remuneration in the amount of:
- base salary ranging from 8 000,00 PLN to 8 800,00 PLN
- seniority allowance depending on length of service, i.e., from 3% to 20% of base salary
- variable remuneration components specified in the CUT Employee Remuneration Regulations

5. Career development prospects
The position of Assistant professor (F/M) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Cracow University of Technology offers extensive opportunities for scientific and professional development. - list of publications, monographs, patents and other achievements constituting the candidate's scientific output;
- letters of recommendation for the position of Assistant Professor (F/M) in the group of research and teaching staff;
- copy of a document confirming knowledge of English and in case of foreigners additionally knowledge of Polish;
- certificate of completion of a pedagogical course or commitment to complete it;

- candidate’s declaration that the Cracow University of Technology will be his/her primary place of employment;
- statement of full legal capacity and no criminal record (according to the Article 113 of the Polish Higher Education Act);
Employment will take place after a competitive selection process in accordance with Chapter VI. Stages of the recruitment process, OTM-R policy consisting of:
- analysis of the submitted documentation,
- conducting interviews (face-to-face or via instant messaging software).

Cracow University of Technology reserves the right to cancel the competition without stating reasons.
The result of the competition is not tantamount to the employment of the candidate (F/M), but is only a recommendation to the Rector. The final employment decision rests with the Rector.
