Assistant Professor

Position Details

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date of the position is December 1, 2026, or another mutually agreed upon date in 2026 or 2027.

The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field and a record of relevant, internationally-recognized research.

Research Requirements

The application must include evidence of a consistent record of high quality, funded research, or strong evidence of the ability to attract funding for such.

Teaching Requirements

The applicant will need to demonstrate their willingness and ability to lecture, examine, and develop course materials as needed for established and new courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.
