Assistant Professor Higher Education Leadership
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the Assistant Professor of Higher Education Leadership requires teaching, research, and service responsibilities, as well as a terminal degree. The position involves collaborating with faculty across the College of Education, supervising and assisting with field experiences, and performing service to the department, college, university, and professional community. Additional position responsibilities include the maintenance of an active research agenda involving regular publications and professional presentations. The position is an academic, tenure-track (10-month) appointment.
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in Higher Education Leadership, Student Affairs, Student Personnel, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in higher education or educational leadership by August 1, 2026.
- Minimum of three years of administrative experience in higher education.
- Ability to develop and teach asynchronous and synchronous online courses.
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to coordinate programs through recruitment, selection, and advisement.
- Experience as a member of doctoral dissertation committees.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience at the graduate level.
- P-20 educational leadership experience.
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
