environmental, or transnational contexts, including candidates whose work examines connections between Asia and other regions of the world. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the history of science and technology, Asian history, undergraduate and M.A. electives in the candidate?s areas of expertise, and classes that contribute to the college?s general education curriculum. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarly achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Preferred Qualifications Evidence of excellent scholarly potential; Demonstrated ability to conduct research using the languages appropriate to the candidate?s field; Commitment to teaching, research, and program service. COMPENSATION Salary Range: $79,630 - $94,017 CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
