The Department of Management & Leadership in the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position, starting in the Fall of 2027. This is a joint appointment position, in which the hired applicant will hold a primary appointment in the Management & Leadership Department with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Psychology. All evaluation processes, including promotion and tenure, will be conducted in the Department of Management and Leadership. We are specifically seeking applicants who have research interests in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to HR/OB and/or Leadership and AI. Existing and/or strong potential for excellence in both scholarly research and teaching will be crucial for the successful applicant. QUALIFICATIONS • Candidates must have a Ph.D. in management or closely related field (e.g., Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial-Organizational Psychology) by the start date of the position. • Candidates should show evidence or potential of a strong research program targeting leading management journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes). • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to effective university teaching, having expertise or evident potential to provide quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, in both face-to-face and online formats. • Candidates should show research and teaching experience or strong potential incorporating AI in HR/OB. • Successful applicants should also show a track record or potential to apply for and receive external funding. attracted excellent researchers and teachers at junior and senior
