Assistant Professor in Actuarial Science

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at McMaster University invites applications for a tenure-track research faculty position in Actuarial Science at the level of Assistant Professor. The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2027.

We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline, and a demonstrated record of research excellence in any major area of actuarial science. Particular interest will be given to candidates whose research advances modern actuarial science through innovative applications in areas such as insurance analytics, predictive modelling, climate risk, artificial intelligence/machine learning, financial risk, or other emerging areas relevant to the actuarial profession.
