DIVISION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE HUMANITIES
Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence and Humanities (two posts) (Ref. 260326010)
The Division of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities (AIH), a constituent academic unit within the Faculty of Humanities, is dedicated to advancing innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and humanistic inquiry. Positioned at the forefront of emerging technologies, AIH aims to promote the development of human-centred AI that enhances society through ethical, creative, and interdisciplinary approaches.
The Master of Science in Generative AI and the Humanities programme, launched in 2024 as the first-of-its-kind in Hong Kong and the world, serves as a flagship initiative of the Division. The programme is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of AI’s impact on language, communication, the arts, and culture, and to prepare them for leadership in an AI-driven future.
AIH invites applications for multiple faculty positions across all academic ranks, with a preference for appointments at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants who are committed to leading the integration of AI into humanities-focused education, research, and knowledge transfer. Areas of particular interest include language science and technology, neuroscience and health, language teaching and learning, and Chinese history and culture.
