Offer Description
University North announces a public call for the appointment of one (1) teacher to the scientific-teaching position of Assistant Professor in the scientific area of Technical Sciences, field of Civil Engineering, for an indefinite period on a part-time basis (30% of full-time working hours).
Applicants must meet the requirements prescribed by the Croatian Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity and its amendments (Official Gazette Nos. 119/2022 and 110/2026), the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria (Official Gazette No. 42/2026), and the relevant regulations of University North.
Applicants are required to submit an application accompanied by all supporting documentation demonstrating compliance with the prescribed appointment criteria. Foreign applicants must provide proof of Croatian language proficiency at B2 level.
Application deadline: 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia (Narodne novine).

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Applicants who meet the formal requirements may be invited to an interview and/or assessment procedure.
University North reserves the right not to select any candidate or to cancel the call, either partially or entirely.

Applicants must fulfil the prescribed scientific, teaching and professional criteria for appointment to the position of Assistant Professor in the field of Civil Engineering.
Specific Requirements
Applicants are required to submit an application accompanied by all supporting documentation demonstrating compliance with the prescribed appointment criteria, in accordance with Articles 39 and 40 of the Croatian Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity and the relevant University North regulations.
Foreign applicants must provide proof of Croatian language proficiency at B2 level.
