SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE
The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in Digital Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, conducting high-quality research and scholarly activities in the field, and actively contributing to college and university administrative and service responsibilities.
SECTION II: RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital marketing and related disciplines.
- Develop and sustain a productive research agenda that leads to publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals, with the potential to contribute to interdisciplinary and practice-oriented research in digital marketing domain.
- Supervise student projects, internships, and theses, as applicable.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program enhancement, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, evolving industry practices, and the integration of digital tools used in digital marketing.
- Actively participate in departmental, college, and university committees and academic initiatives that support institutional goals.
- Participate continuous professional development by participating in training programs, workshops, and academic conferences to enhance teaching and research effectiveness.
- Engage with the business and professional community, fostering industry collaboration and supporting the university's outreach, innovation, and impact initiatives.
SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role
- A Ph.D. in digital marketing or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university, preferably accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, or listed in the top 200 global ranking.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to high-quality research.
- A proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices in accounting.
- An established portfolio of scholarly research, with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in industry practice, consultancy, or professional service is highly desirable.
- Industry experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
At least two years of teaching experience in accredited higher education institutions.
Nature of Relevant Experience Required:
- Ability to integrate industry insights and emerging trends into curriculum design and classroom instruction.
- Capacity to contribute to departmental service, program development, and institutional initiatives.
Language – Skills:
- Professional proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Arabic is preferred
