The Academy of Zamość (Akademia Zamojska) is looking for an Assistant Professor in Law.

Skills/Qualifications
I. The candidate should meet the following criteria:
- hold a PhD in law,
- have experience in conducting research in the fields of EU law, ethics, bioethics, artificial intelligence and the impact of modern technologies on society,
- have at least 6 years’ experience as an academic researcher,
- have a track record of academic output, including active participation in academic conferences and publications in, amongst others, the fields of law, ethics, bioethics and artificial intelligence,
- have experience in managing international research projects,
- have experience in organising academic conferences,
- have a command of English at B2 level.
II. Requirements:
- The candidate should demonstrate positive personal qualities, above all creativity, responsibility, conscientiousness and diligence, good communication skills, a willingness to further their knowledge, the ability to work in national and international teams, as well as kindness and loyalty towards the team in which they will be employed, and availability.
Specific Requirements
The competition is open to candidates who meet the conditions set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) in the Statutes of the Zamość Academy and the Rules of Procedure of the Zamość Academy.

- other documents confirming the qualifications and skills required for the post being advertised,

- a declaration in accordance with Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended): template attached,
- a declaration that, from the date of employment, the Zamość Academy will be the applicant’s primary place of work within the meaning of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Act on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended): a template for the declaration is attached,
- a consent clause for the processing of personal data: template attached.
Selection process
VI. Deadline and location for submitting documents:
Documents must be submitted to the headquarters of the Zamość Academy, ul. Pereca 2, 22-400 Zamość, by 15 September 2026 (the date of receipt by the University shall be decisive). The envelope must be titled: ‘Konkurs nr 2 na stanowisko adiunkta (K/M) w grupie pracowników badawczych Wydziału Nauk Społecznych i Humanistycznych'. The outcome of the competition will be announced by 25 September 2026.
Applications that are incomplete, do not meet the formal requirements, or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The Zamość Academy reserves the right to invite selected candidates to an interview. It reserves the right to cancel the competition without giving the reason.
