Assistant Professor in Psychology
The Department of Psychology at St. Jerome’s University, a public Roman Catholic university federated with the University of Waterloo, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). All applicants must hold a PhD in Psychology and must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
The successful candidate will have training, teaching, and research expertise in the area(s) of Health or Forensic Psychology (or both). Strong preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate their ability to teach both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in either or both of these areas. The ability to teach quantitative methods and statistics as well as integrate qualitative perspectives is an asset. The successful candidate is also expected to have an active and productive research program and is expected to supervise undergraduate Honours theses. A commitment to participating in university service is also expected.

As of May 1, 2025, the base salary for an Assistant Professor is $96,135.
