Assistant Professor in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor in the field of Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry whose research is aligned with one of the following areas: (i) chemical catalysis (homo- or heterogeneous), (ii) bioinorganic chemistry, or (iii) hard and/or energy materials. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a world-class, externally funded research group, including collaboration with industrial partners. They will be required to teach core inorganic chemistry through lectures, tutorials, workshops and laboratory classes and contribute fully to teaching across the Department at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This includes helping to develop new taught and research-focused postgraduate courses. This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of internationally excellent research and teaching.
