Position Profile

We are seeking a scholar holding a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Occupational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related disciplines, with experience in research and teaching in work and organizational psychology, who can contribute to the development of this field within the School and to strengthening its academic offerings.

Required and Desired Competencies

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research and teach in work and organizational psychology, addressing significant phenomena of work and organizations from a psychological, evidence-based perspective, through a research agenda that contributes to knowledge about individuals, groups, and organizations in contemporary work settings.

Applicants with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas will be particularly valued:

• Personnel selection and assessment
• Job analysis and competency modeling
• Performance appraisal and management
• Work motivation and attitudes

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in work and organizational psychology, such as:

Approximately 50% of the appointment will be devoted to teaching, equivalent to three classes per year, or two classes plus other teaching activities such as the supervision of Master's and/or Doctoral theses. During the first year, the successful candidate is expected to teach one course per semester.

In addition, the candidate will be required to:

• Develop and consolidate an independent line of research, with publications in internationally recognized academic journals and the capacity to secure external funding.
• Supervise Master's and/or Doctoral theses.
• Participate actively in the academic life of the School and in curricular and academic development initiatives.
• Contribute to strengthening education and training in work and organizational psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute actively to strengthening the academic environment and the School's standing in the field of work and organizational psychology, promoting initiatives that connect scientific research, student training, and the contemporary challenges of the world of work.

The following will be especially valued:

• Experience in applied research and/or professional practice in work and organizational psychology, including organizational consulting and work with organizations.
• Willingness to strengthen national and international research networks in work and organizational psychology and organizational behavior.
• The ability to integrate scientific research and evidence into addressing contemporary problems of organizations and the world of work.
• Experience with, or interest in, the study of emerging transformations of work and organizations, including the effects of new technologies and artificial intelligence.
