Department Information

Within this setting, the Department of Information Systems and Analytics in the Parker College of Business offers a BBA in Information Systems and Analytics. The program is AACSB-accredited and recognized for its strong return on investment, with graduates earning high average starting salaries. Its flexible curriculum allows students to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals, with opportunities to focus on business analytics, enterprise systems and project management, or enterprise security. Faculty members also contribute to the MBA and WebMBA programs offered by Parker College. This position is expected to support the Department's mission and areas of focus through teaching, research, and service.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, the Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor position is a 10-month, non-tenure track teaching appointment. This faculty position requires commitment to excellence in teaching and learning as well as professional service. In addition, commitment to continuous growth and professional development along with contribution to student success are expected. Moreover, they are expected to be able to contribute to a positive work environment in the Department, College, and University. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree in Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution by July 1, 2026, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Information Systems or related fields.
• Evidence of the potential for excellent teaching ability.
• Evidence of effective communication skills.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant industry experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Enterprise Systems, or related fields.
• Evidence of quality teaching.
• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity commensurate with a non-tenure track appointment.
• Interest in ongoing professional development within the discipline.
• Strong teaching interest in the following areas: Enterprise systems, including ERP/SAP; Business analytics and business intelligence; Machine learning and artificial intelligence; Programming (Python, Java, R, ABAP, etc.); Enterprise infrastructure and security; Enterprise systems analysis and design; Database management (SQL); Project management (Agile, Analytics)

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
