Offer Description
The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements set out in Art. 113, 116 section 2 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science and meet the following qualification criteria:
- holding the professional title of medical doctor;
- holding a valid licence to practise medicine;
- holding a medical specialisation in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system
- holding a doctoral degree in the field of medical and health sciences, in the discipline of medical sciences;
- experience conducting clinical trials in the field of orthopedics and traumatology
- experience co-authoring patent applications
- experience leading research and clinical teams.
- research experience, in particular in publishing research results with the publishers and in journals included in lists maintained for the purpose of evaluating the quality of scientific activity - at a minimum: at least 1 full-length articles in journals rated at least 140 points, (in the one year preceding the announcement of the competition);
- fluency in English

Specific Requirements
- Extensive experience in scientific research, particularly in publishing research results in the form of scientific publications.
- Documented participation in numerous scientific conferences.
- Organizational experience related to active participation in academic and scientific life.
- Ability to analyze data using dedicated software, prepare reports, and interpret research findings.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to develop professional competencies.
- Completed postgraduate studies applicable to medicine would be an asset.

- information about planned scientific research activities, including projected results
- statement confirming that KUL will be the primary place of employment if the competition is won
- statement confirming compliance with the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Law Act

Selection process
The first stage of the competition procedure is the formal verification of submitted documents. Applications that pass the formal verification are subject to substantive evaluation, during which a recruitment interview may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), after prior agreement on the date with the Candidate.
