Assistant Professor Marketing

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Marketing, the Assistant Professor position requires outstanding scholarly research within the discipline, excellence in teaching and meaningful service responsibilities, and a Ph.D., or equivalent, in Marketing. This position will be key in the department and college programs. The ability to contribute to a positive collegial work environment in the Department, College, and University is also expected, as well as a strong orientation to recruiting, retaining, and mentoring qualified students. The position is a 10-month, tenure-track appointment beginning August 1, 2026, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned Ph.D., or equivalent, in Marketing, or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Marketing, by August 1, 2026.
  • Faculty qualified initially and continuously according to AACSB guidelines.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University-level teaching experience in Marketing.
  • Experience teaching via web-based instruction.
  • Past business experience.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a Department or College.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES: Consistently exhibit engaging customer service. Ability to support various constituencies served by the University. Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position.

KNOWLEDGE: Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success.

SKILLS: Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
