Assistant Professor of Biology
The Department of Biology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Ecology to begin August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a robust externally funded research program that includes a field or laboratory component and provides rigorous research opportunities for undergraduate students. Potential areas of expertise can include, but are not limited to, urban ecology, conservation ecology, marine ecology, organismal ecology, or community ecology. The candidate will be expected to teach at all levels of the curriculum, including introductory biology and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise that complement the existing curriculum. In addition, the ability to contribute to affiliated programs in Environmental Studies, Data Science, and/or the Tri-Co Philly Program is desirable. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. and one year of post-doctoral research experience by the start date.
