Job Summary
Faculty workload at Dalton State College consists of the following four components: (1) teaching, (2)
service, (3) research (or other form of scholarly or creative achievement) and/or professional
development, and (4) student success activities.
Thanks to outstanding community support, the School of Arts and Sciences has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for teaching undergraduates and conducting student-faculty research. The facilities include a cadaver lab, turtle assurance colony, and specialized instrumentation for biochemical and genetic analysis. Faculty have the use of undergraduate research laboratories, unique habitats close to campus, an observatory, and three large greenhouses. Duties include advising and mentoring students, keeping office hours, developing curriculum, assessment of student learning, providing service to the campus and community, and undertaking professional development. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, off-campus, or online courses.
The start date for this position is either January, 1, 2027, or August 1, 2027.
