College/School/Unit: Cockrell School of Engineering Department: Chemical Engineering Posted: Sep 30, 2026 Apply By: Open until filled Description The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas Austin has an opening with a start date of Fall 2027 for a tenure-track assistant professor . Candidates will be considered whose research makes connections to biotechnology and/or materials engineering. Candidates are
encouraged to view these areas in the broadest sense in determining whether their application would be a match. The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Texas at Austin is committed to building a community that is welcoming to all and to addressing the family needs of faculty, including dual-career couples and single parents. Applicants should have received or expect to receive a doctoral degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline prior to August 2027. Successful candidates are expected to mentor graduate students, teach our diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations, develop an externally sponsored research program, collaborate with other faculty from a wide range of backgrounds, and be involved in service to the university and profession. Qualifications A Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related field is required. Application Instructions Applications must be submitted electronically via Interfolio.
