Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology

The Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Counseling Psychology. We encourage applicants from all areas of Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis on the impact of social context on individual and collective experiences. We are especially interested in applicants who anchor their scholarly interests in factors related to mental health and the future of psychology. Areas of research may include evidence-based practices, psychology of work, disability, social determinants of health, access to health care, mental health in the digital age, and the role of artificial intelligence in psychology.

Candidates should have a record of research productivity; the potential to develop funded research; an ability to communicate their work to broader publics; and a commitment to contribute to innovation across the Lynch School. Candidates should be dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and advising students across the undergraduate and graduate levels and to supervising students in clinical development.

Qualifications: PhD in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology; license or license-eligible in Massachusetts.
