Assistant Professor of Economics (Applied Microeconomics and Environmental/Natural Resource Economics)
Effective Date: August 17, 2026 (Fall Semester)
Salary Range: The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary is $74,652 to $158,688/year; anticipated hiring range $86,000 to $90,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Economics or related field with specialization in Applied Microeconomics and Environmental Economics. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2026.
- Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college level
- Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and peer-reviewed publication
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population
Duties
- Teach various undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Economics, Transportation Economics, Microeconomics, and related subjects
- Develop and engage in research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Participate in service to the department, college, university, and profession
