"Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, tenure-track"

Kenyon College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, specializing in Sustainable Food Systems and Agriculture, Agroecology and/or Integrated Agricultural Systems. Candidates should have interest and experience in the integration of plant, soil and livestock systems, food systems science and policy, and/or social, political and economic issues of sustainable agricultural systems. These issues could be addressed from a wide range of disciplines.

Teaching expectations include 5 courses a year that include agricultural courses and some combination of program courses such as introductory environmental studies, quantitative methods, an environmental lab and a senior seminar. We seek candidates committed to inclusive course experiences, and effective mentoring of a diverse student population. We expect an active research program that involves undergraduate students, leads to publications, and has potential to attract extramural funding. Applicants should hold a PhD degree prior to taking up the appointment.
