The Berea College Health and Human Performance Department (HHP) seeks applicants with strengths in kinesiology and health promotion to fill a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate degree in kinesiology, health promotion, or a closely related field. Commitment to the mission of Berea College, liberal education, and to excellent teaching at the undergraduate level are essential.
The successful candidate will join a program that offers B.A. degrees in Health and Human Performance, P-12 Teaching Certification, and Health Studies. Teaching responsibilities could include senior research, statistics in kinesiology, foundations of health studies, wellness, physical activity courses, and courses within their specialty. The appointment offers opportunities for team teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, high impact learning experiences, as well as teaching in the General Education Program.
