We are seeking applicants with teaching, research, and/or clinical practice experience in the health and/or human biological sciences. The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibilities across the Health Sciences curriculum which serves undergraduate students in the health sciences, nursing, and related majors preparing for health-related careers. Sample areas of teaching may include human anatomy & physiology, microbiology for the health professions, nutrition science, exercise science, and/or upper-level elective courses in the applied health sciences depending on the candidate's interests and expertise. Faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda and contribute professional service in accordance with the College's expectations for pre-tenured faculty. Applicants with an earned doctorate in health sciences, physiology, biology, or a closely related field are strongly encouraged to apply. This is an exciting and historic opportunity to join PC's newly established School of Nursing and Health Sciences and shape an innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum for the next generation of students entering nursing and other health professions. The 153,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art Ben Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences houses the School of Nursing and Health Sciences' existing and future undergraduate and graduate programs. This one-of-a-kind facility opened in January 2025 and features the latest classroom design and technologies and showcase expansive clinical simulation and research facilities, including a human performance laboratory and environmental chamber. The department features a purpose-built classroom for teaching microbiology for the health professions and courses on applied human biology. A student career education and advising center, along with conference and meeting space, is included as part of the inspiring resources intended for the next generation of healthcare providers, faculty, and staff. The salary range for this position is between $80,000-86,000. Duties and Responsibilities This tenure-track faculty position will report to the Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level and will include the development, implementation and assessment of curriculum, student advising, service to the college.
