The Moody College of Communication is seeking a full-time, professional-track faculty member to coordinate, manage, and teach a large, multi-section hybrid course on business and professional communication in collaboration with the Cockrell School of Engineering. No experience in the field of engineering is required. Moody College includes programs in Advertising and Public Relations, Communication Studies, Journalism and Media, Radio-Television-Film, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. The faculty appointment may be in any of the College's schools or departments, depending on the candidate's expertise and experience.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with a range of campus partners in multiple disciplines. They will demonstrate professionalism and responsiveness in both electronic and interpersonal interactions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and demonstrates a high level of solution-oriented thinking, maturity, and integrity.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching duties and course assignments will depend on the interests and capabilities of the individual and departmental instructional needs. Job responsibilities will include coordinating assigned sections of the engineering communication course each long semester and each summer, along with sections abroad during May term, while executing the duties associated with course management for all sections. These duties may include:

• Developing and revising curriculum as necessary.
• Supervising and training current instructors and teaching assistants on course materials such as lectures, activities, and assignments.
