Assistant Professor of Instruction - Human Dimensions of Organizations

Human Dimensions of Organizations (HDO) in the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a nontenured Assistant Professor of Instruction to teach in our undergraduate program. The preferred start date is the Spring semester of academic year 2025-26 but is negotiable. This is a full-time position teaching three courses per long semester, with potential opportunity for periodic summer teaching. The position is renewable annually, contingent upon programmatic need, performance, and funding.

HDO teaches students to apply lessons from the humanities and social/behavioral sciences to organizational and workplace contexts. HDO offers a BA, an MA, and professional training.

The successful candidate will support required courses in the major, including an introductory overview course, a course on belongingness in organizations, research methods, and the senior capstone class. On occasion, the candidate will have the opportunity to teach a topics-centered course tied to their research specialty.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a PhD in a liberal arts field or related discipline and demonstrated ability or potential to teach successfully in an interdisciplinary environment.
