Position Summary
This position is an opportunity to serve students in two academic programs that prepare students to lead as innovators in public service. ... This position would have a baseline teaching requirement of 4 undergraduate or graduate courses in the Public Administration Department each semester, and may include administrative appointments, such as undergraduate advisor of record and/or internship coordinator, which would reduce this teaching load.
Required Qualifications
- For the Assistant Professor of Instruction position, a terminal degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science or related field.
- For the Assistant Professor of Practice position, a Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science or related field.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience at the college level, especially incorporating active or experiential learning, and administrative experience at the college level.
- Engagement in service related to undergraduate students, potentially including curriculum and competency development, advising, and recruitment/retention is preferred.
- Alternative experiences such as a professional background in the public or non-profit sector will also be considered.
