The successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, highly visible, extramurally funded research program with outstanding scholarship, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the various service endeavors in the Department, College, and University. The Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering is one of the seven departments in the College of Engineering and Science – Florida Tech’s largest college and is committed to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence in teaching and research, with the goal of setting the stage for research-based and innovative pedagogies that foster student engagement, learning, and success. It is a dynamic and rapidly growing unit offering undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, M.S and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, STEM Education and Systems Engineering. We also contribute to multiple degree programs across campus. Faculty in the department lead active, externally funded research programs, build strong partnerships with industry, and collaborate broadly across disciplines.
