Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to health economics teaching, research, and administrative activities within the Centre for Health Policy and Management, the School of Medicine, and Tallaght University Hospital.
The successful applicant will:
- Be an emerging health economist contributing to teaching and research
- Support health economics education and research at Tallaght University Hospital, its associated Integrated Health Areas, and the Centre for Health Policy and Management
- Provide health economics evaluation and support to the Clinical Research Facility at Tallaght University Hospital
- Contribute to health economics teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, particularly the MSc in Health Policy and Management and the Discipline of Public Health and Primary Care
Post Status
- Specific Purpose Contract: This employment is specifically for providing teaching in health economics and carrying out economic analyses for the new Clinical Research Facility at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH).
- The contract is not indefinite; continued and long-term requirement for the post is contingent upon future development plans of the Clinical Research Facility.
Hours of Work
- Hours of work are prescribed under Public Service Agreements: Academic Hours Public Service Agreement PDF
Salary
- Lecturer Full Salary Scale: €42,925 – €102,556 per annum, in line with Government pay policy
