The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach in the core curriculum (particularly in the "Western Civilization" core area). Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and service to the department, college, and university. Qualifications Applicants must have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. by time of appointment, or they must expect to obtain the Ph.D. within a year of joining the faculty as Instructor. Some teaching experience in European medieval history, Western civilization, Silk Road, Asia, and/or diasporic medieval populations is required.
