Construction of a new music/theatre/dance/arts building began in May of 2024 and completion is expected in Spring of 2027. Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities for the Director of Choral Activities are directing and recruiting for the choir program. Secondary assignments include serving as music director for one musical theatre production per academic year with the possibility of teaching other music and musical theatre-related courses based on candidate's strengths and departmental needs. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a team-oriented departmental culture, and to undertake other duties according to the needs of the department. Required Qualifications: A completed Doctoral degree in Music by the time of appointment is required. Demonstrated ability to direct choirs and direct musical theatre singers and instrumentalists. Evidence of the ability to be a successful teacher, scholar, performer, and congenial colleague.
