The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Based on the recent Proclamation: Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.
Responsibilities
Department Summary
This opportunity is working within the Music Department. The candidate will teach for one to one applied lessons for upper and lower division secondary, minors and majors as assigned. Teach Department courses in core areas B and C. Some courses may be delivered online and instructors are required to use Blazeview for course delivery.

100% Teaching
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in the appropriate field: Masters degree in Music Performance or Music Education. Those serving as clinical practice supervisors must have held a teaching certificate and have three or more years in area of supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
- A record of mentoring students
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
