Assistant Professor of Nursing
JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Nursing faculty position beginning Fall 2026. The program has Baccalaureate, MSN, and DNP programs. The position includes teaching responsibilities in the classroom and clinical setting as well as a commitment to maintain practice, service, and scholarship responsibilities. The programs within the department are fully accredited and taught in a beautiful facility with state-of-the-art simulation capabilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching experience and clinical experience.
- Registered Nurse License in Michigan (or eligible).
- Doctorate in nursing or related field (enrollment in a doctoral program) with evidence of scholarly activity. Extensive university experience is required for associate rank. If a Doctorate is in a related field, a master's in nursing is required.
- Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with online teaching and learning, concept-based curriculum, simulation experience, clinical experience in one or more of the areas (long-term, acute care adult health, community health, critical care, FNP, PMHNP), works well in a team environment, experience in RN to BSN, Family Nurse Practitioner, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner education.

- Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
- All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
