Overview
Providence College: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor, commencing August 2026 with AOS: Ethics, AOC: Business Ethics. The teaching load for this position is three courses (9 credits) per semester.
Education and Experience
Successful candidates will possess a Ph.D. (or be ABD with Ph.D. in hand by August 2026) from an accredited institution and should have a demonstrable commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students in the classroom as well as demonstrable commitments to supporting the College’s mission and the Department’s dedication to teaching the history of philosophy. They should also be willing to participate in interdisciplinary team teaching in the College’s Development of Western Civilization Program.
