Department
The Interdisciplinary School for Engagement (ISE) in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at UT San Antonio houses four undergraduate majors and seven minors. It consists of more than 25 tenure/tenure track and fixed-term-track faculty members serving more than 850 students. Given its unique mission, the ISE serves as a home for interdisciplinary programs as well as a makerspace and intellectual incubator for new programs in the humanities and social sciences. It is also committed to provide space for collaborative learning and teaching and engage our students in experiential learning and discovery.
Position Summary
Teach one course in spring 2026 and one course in fall 2026 as assigned in Dramatic Arts and Technologies.
Our new and rapidly growing program has existing and emerging teaching needs in all aspects of performance and production but does not currently have teaching needs in theater history or appreciation.
Required Qualifications
- The successful candidate will possess an MFA in Theater or related dramatic arts.
- Have experience teaching a variety of related specialty courses at the college level.
- Costume design, lighting design, sound design, or scenic design to boost the Dramatic Arts program and cover student interest.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will have experience:
- organizing large-scale productions at the college level or professionally.
- developing dramatic arts curriculum.
- teaching, advising, or mentoring San Antonio students.
- participating in major theatrical or screen productions.
- Active profile in professional theater.

This position will work primarily on Main and Downtown campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
