POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University’s School of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Located in historic Bethlehem, PA, Moravian University is recognized as the sixth oldest University in the United States. Moravian is conveniently situated between New York City and Philadelphia and provides access to a rich array of academic and cultural opportunities. The programs in the School of Economics and Business are nationally accredited by ACBSP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full-time, non-tenure-track position in the Moravian University School of Business and Economics, with the possibility of future consideration for conversion to a tenure-track appointment based on institutional need, performance, and programmatic priorities.
- Teach undergraduate accounting courses in multiple modalities (on-site, online, hybrid) across multiple degree programs, with a particular focus on managerial accounting, financial accounting, and advanced managerial accounting and analytics.
- Provide substantive academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate students (majors, minors, first-year students, and others).
- Supervise experiential learning or accounting research projects.
- Participate in professional organizations and societies.
- Engage fully in the academic life of the School of Business and Economics, including program development, curriculum innovation, assessment, and participation in school-wide initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, or Master of Business Administration (MBA) with major or concentration in Accounting.
- A professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or CISA).
